Hibs had no difficulty in keeping their unbeaten league record, with their seventh win. The towering Marion Vella helped them on in the early stages, and a 9-0 run put them in the right frame for the rest of the game, and a good first session lead ensued.

In the second session Hibs ran riot as Vella and Lucienne Bezzina were pouring in the points, in a 24-0 strong run. Kerygma had no answer, and they were left behind as the Paolites hoisted their interval score to a high 56-17 score.

After the break points were in abundance as Hibs were chasing the century.

They met some resistance from their opponents, but Hibs were not to be denied, as they regularly made baskets and free shots, to hike their score to 90-32 after three sessions.

Hibs didn't take long to achieve their aim of a century, with plenty of time to spare. Kerygmadidn't hold back and they had a good ending to the game, although suffering such heavy score.

Naxxar Danone 76

Naxxar kept their third position in the standings, on equal points with champions, Depiro, behind Hibernians, and it was their third win over Qormi this season.

Qormi were hit right from the start, going 2-11 down, and Naxxar went on to increase their lead till the end of the session. The second quarter wasn't much different, as Danone managed an 11-0 run established their lead further, but Qormi managed a reaction at the end of the session, just before half time, and it was a 39-14 game after two sessions.

After the interval Qormi shared the game for some time, and the lead remained unchanged, but later on in the session a strong finish by Naxxar produced a 14-2 run ending in a Sammy Jo Barbara trey, to offset Charlotte Riolo's three treys in the first quarter. After three sessions Naxxar were 61-24 firmly in front.

With the result beyond question Naxxar started to tone down and Qormi could find better openings in their opponent's defence, which only served as a morale booster for the modest Qormi team.

In the first round Luxol had beaten Depiro with a last second free shot and the return game also resulted in a close score, and running in overtime, before Depiro finally managed to avenge their first-round defeat.

Depiro led after the first session but Luxol managed a momentary lead, only for Depiro to go in front again and keep their lead, only just till the half time buzzer on a 28-27 score,

After the interval it was a more enterprising Luxol who went back in front and, despite Depiro's efforts, held on to a 39-36 lead after three sessions.

In the final quarter, the champions put their noses in front and held a 55-50 lead late in the game, only to lose it and the two teams were tied at 57-57 after normal time.

In overtime Psaila Savona nailed a trey for Luxol but Dorianne Galea's free shots turned the tables, and Depiro held on till the end, to keep their second spot in the standings.
