The eleventh day of the championship was played last Sunday wherein Raiders obtained their second victory this season, beating St Venera Lightnings 2-1.

In the other match on Sunday, Melita beat Rabat 4-0 and are now occupying a joint second placing with Hibernians, though they have played a match more.

Raiders scored through Denise Midolo and Amanda Atkins while St Venera replied with a second half goal from Graziella Fenech – their first goal of the season.

In Melita’s victory their scorers were Jackie Ellul Soler, Maria Azzopardi, Daniela Micallef and Kelly Agius Pace.
