Various localities in Malta and Gozo were left without power yesterday evening after the electricity service was disrupted due to a fault on a high voltage network.

In a statement released last night, Enemalta said immediate steps were taken to fix the problem which occurred at around 7.15pm.

The corporation said that by 8pm the service had been restored to various localities but work, last night, was still underway to restore the electricity service to the affected localities. The corporation said it regrets any inconvenience caused by the power outage.
