Bowling – Middlesea Valletta Life League (week 5): Aercomms beat Fina First to go seven points clear

Week five of the current Middlesea Valletta Life has been concluded at the Eden SuperBowl, where leaders Aercomms came out on the winning end of the match of the week, a table top clash with nemeses Fina First.

They won 2-6 to open up a seven point gap, and also rolled the team series of the week. Meanwhile. Fina Excel stole third place from Right Deal with a full point victory against Royal Shock (9th), Right Deal dropping a place in spite of their 2-6 win over bottom side Blues Brothers. There was also a 100% win for Storm who go fifth, while Ramis and Globalair Travel both enjoyed majority wins.

Aercomms look set to keep a tight grip on Div I this season, playing an excellent 2,408 series to beat challengers Fina First 2-6 and go seven points clear this week.

Fina Excel made light work of thrashing Royal Shock 0-8 to take third place, although neither side impressed in game one which ended with a low 665-699 score line.

The only other eight point victory of the week went to Storm who are now fifth, The Rascals (10th) being on the receiving end of the beating. Storm were never under any pressure throughout the three-game series, and were already 107 pins up after the first game (691-798).

Despite their 2-6 win over the Blues Brothers this week, Right Deal drop to third place, level on 26 points with Fina Excel.

Globalair Travel also took six points from their confrontation with Alley Catz, although it was the latter who opened the scoring with a 781-800 win in game one.

The final victory of the night went to Ramis (6th), who were 6-2 victors against outgoing champions Veltins (7th).
