In the second event of this season’s Grand Prix tournament, staged last Friday saw two of Malta’s top table tennis stars, Edward Baldacchino and Mario Genovese, meeting in the final of the top 12 section. This time Edward Baldacchino emerged as the victor (11-6, -6, 11-5, 11 -7), and so retaining his overall number one position in this tournament.

Paul Dawson beat Leslie Bajada in the final of the 13-24 section (-9, 11-9, 12-10, 11-7), losing one game in this best out of five game final was the only game that Paul Dawson dropped all evening!

The closest encounter of the evening was when Victor Grech played against Mario Dimech, which Victor Grech won to place 11th on the night, finally winning 11-4, -10, -6, 11-7, and 13-11.
