The next VLTC tennis event of 2005 will be the third edition of the much awaited Kia Motors singles tournament. This competition is sponsored by Kia (Malta) Ltd. which forms part of the Tumas Fenech Group with which VLTC feels honoured and proud to be associated.

The tournament will be played on a round robin format with players playing each other on a “best out of three tie-break sets”.

Where applicable, winners from each group will be promoted to a higher division next year.

A beginners’ category is again being included this year to give participants the first taste of competitive tennis. The tournament will commence in April and is expected to run until the end of June, with play taking place on the weekends.

Members may apply personally at the club’s office from 6pm onwards or may apply by filling the application form on the club’s website www.vltc.com.mt

The closing date for entries is Sunday, March 20.
