Local freelance photographer Dominic Aquilina (pictured) has been selected to form part of the UEFA Photographers’ Pool.

Robert Faulkner, Head of Media Services of UEFA, thanked Aquilina for his contribution in helping to make the UEFA digital online archive a continued success. Faulkner has now offered Aquilina an agreement to cover activities as an official UEFA Photographer Pool Member. There are only 10 photographers in this pool.

Said Aquilina: “This in itself is a remarkable achievement in my photographic story – “being accepted to form part of the UEFA Photographers’ Pool is something that I have really worked for, and that I am very proud to have achieved. I have been the official UEFA media officer for uefa.com – the UEFA digital online official site – for the past two years or so, covering the Maltese football page – something which I have done and will continue to do with great pride and dedication.”
