The Secretary General of the Malta Basketball Association Mr. Frank Camilleri has been nominated member in the Small Countries Commission of FIBA.

This nomination shows the Commitment of the MBA for the Small Countries movement within FIBA.

The first meeting of this new commission will be held next month in Slovenia during the General Assembly of all European Countries.

The Small Countries Commission shall have the duties to study all issues of basketball relating to small countries, to communicate, when necessary, with the other bodies of FIBA Europe in order to present the small countries athlete’s point of view and to submit to the Board and other divisions of FIBA Europe proposals regarding the competitions of the small countries as well as any measures deemed necessary to promote basketball in Europe.
