Artists Charles Bonnici (painter and sculptor), Benny Brimmer (painter) and Etienne Vassallo (painter), three members of the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, with the collaboration of the society’s council, will be holding a collective arts exhibition at Palazzo De La Salle, 219, Republic Street Valletta.

The theme chosen by the three artists is “A Blend of Fantasy and Reality of Mixed Media.

Charles Bonnici’s sculpture using Malta limestone is influenced by the human figure and bond of familial love. His method of sculpturing is done the way sculptors before him worked – with mallet, chisels and various rasps. He will be exhibiting seven sculptures.

For Benny Brimmer art is the way of describing the loving feeling he has for both local folklore and the architecture of churches. Benny is self taught. He will be exhibiting 35 paintings.

Etienne Bonnici’s fascination with art began when walking the streets of Perugia, Italy. He has a vivid imagination, which coupled with his ability to capture ideas on canvas inspired him to embark on a series of paintings, exploring various media and themes. He will be exhibiting 15 paintings.

The exhibition will be open between Tuesday 10 and Friday 20 May between 10am and 1pm, and 4.30 and 7pm, except on Saturdays and Sundays: Entrance is free.
