Senglea Bocci Club A moved closer to win the Premier League organised by the Malta Pool Association.
In the much awaited encounter Senglea Bocci Club A and second placed Ta’ Cikka Bar drew 9-9 and with one game left Senglea Bocci Club kept the three points lead over Ta’ Cikka Bar.
In the last game Senglea Bocci Club will meet Paola Wolves who this week had the better of Hibs Pavillion 10-6.
The Paolities are in danger of relegation and a win next Friday will secure their stay in the top division.
The last day is very important both for the league title and even for the relegation issue. With Cospicua Dynamos and Pandora Bar already relegated, another four teams are still in danger of being relegated.
Mango’s Social Club, who this week registered a very important 10-7 victory over Cospicua Dynamos, are only one point behind Paola Wolves while St Michael’s Bar A and Jesmond Sporting Club lead Paola Wolves by one point. This week saw St Michael’s Bar A drawing 9-9 at Billiards Hall A while Jesmond Sporting Club obtained an important 10-7 victory over Pandora Bar.
With two games remaining, the first division title has already gone to Top Gun Bar. Last week they week went to Billiards Hall B and came out victorious 10-6.
Second placed Taste Good Bar A, who are trailing Top Gun Bar by nine points, registered a 10-3 victory over St Vincent De Paule. In an important promotion encounter San Gwann Bocci Club A and Cospicua Rangers drew 9-9 and thus left the latter with one point advantage over same San Gwann Bocci Club. Anici Band Club overwhelmed St Michael’s Bar B 10-5 while Senglea Bocci Club thrashed St George’s Band Club 10-4.
