A suspended prison sentence was handed down to a Mosta man yesterday for gaining illegal access to a computer.

Mario Gauci, aged 45, had admitted illegally using a computer on and before 3 October 2004. The court, presided over by magistrate Saviour Demicoli, noted that Gauci had cooperated with the police and had entered an early guilty plea.

He was sentenced to two years imprisonment suspended for three years.
