Minister of Education Dr Louis Galea, who is responsible for Sport, has congratulated the Maltese contingent, especially the athletes who represented the country in Andorra, and who achieved some outstanding results.

He thanked the Malta Olympic Committee adding that it was only through its work that the athletes could reach such levels.

Dr Galea, while adding that the next challenge will now be the Mediterranean Games in Almeria, added: “We are confident that Malta will have athletes who can also obtain some good results at this higher level. We are also confident that the athletes will show commitment and determination to be successful.”
