Paul Vella was the overall winner of the RMF Skeet competition held yesterday by the Malta Shooting Federation at the Bidnija shooting range.
Competitors had to shoot a maximum of 50 clays in the first phase and an additional 25 clays for the first palced six shooters in the final barage.
Vella hit a total of 67 clays out of a possible 75 to win the trophy.
Second was Jason Sciberras (64), followed by Silvio Attard (63), Paul Sant (61), Clive Farrugia (58) and Joe Mizzi (57).
A Double Trap shoot-out was also held yesterday with William Chetcuti adding to his tally after hitting a total of 139 clays out of a possible 150.
Fellow shooter Emmanuel Grima, who will accompany Chetcuti in the forthcoming Meditteranean Games, hit a total of 108 clays.
