Hibernians beat champions Sliema Wanderers 2-0 yesterday in the first big friendly for both sides on the eve of the Euro Cup tournament which starts on Monday evening.
Both goals arrived in the first half with Terence Scerri opening the score and Andrew Cohen converting a penalty for the second.
For the Paolites, Serbian striker Goran Njamculovic, who played for Legia Warsaw in the Polish first division last season, made his first appearance in the second half.
The Paolites have also agreed on a new deal for defender Adrian Pulis while David Camilleri will again be on loan with them from Marsaxlokk.
For Sliema, Italian defender Mauro di Lello also made his first appearance while Daniel Bogdanovic was returning to the team after his spell with Marsaxlokk and Gozo.
It was rumoured yesterday that he might be returning to Marsaxlokk.
