Alternattiva Demokratika has made clear its objection to the proposed demolition of a house and its replacement with a block of flats in St Paul’s Bay.
AD spokesman for the environment Mark Causon said that the Greens objected on the grounds that the house is of historical and cultural value, part of the village core and a unique part of the St Paul’s Bay Menqa area.
This building, he said, was also scheduled according to the local plan for the area. “We therefore urge the Malta Environment and Planning Authority to refuse the application,” he said.
