Ing. Alexander J. Tranter has been elected as the vice-chairman of the International Association for Homes and Services for the Aged (IAHSA) based in Washington DC in the US.
IAHSA is an international, non-profit organisation with members from over 30 countries and leaders in long-term care, senior housing, business and government as well as professionals interested in the international arena of ageing services.
Ing. Alexander Tranter was elected to the position of vice chair of IAHSA at the sixth IAHSA international conference held in Trondheim Norway last week.
At the conference, which was attended by over 550 delegates, Ing. Tranter managed to secure Malta as the venue for the next prestigious IAHSA international conference to be held in June 2007.
Ing. Tranter is the local chief executive officer of the CareMalta Group which act as operators of Casa Arkati, Villa Messina as well as the Zejtun and Cospicua government homes for the elderly.
