Former Pieta Hotspurs, Birkirkara and Malta goalkeeper Saviour Darmanin is leaving Malta today for Wrexham, Wales.

As from next Monday he will be undergoing a 10-day trial with the English League One club.

Darmanin will be training with the first team squad of the Welsh club and will also be playing some friendly matches. In fact, he is also expected to be included in the squad that is to meet Euroepan champions Liverpool at the Racecourse Ground next Wednesday.

Last season, Darmanin had started the season with Pieta, but in January moved for a six-month loan to Birkirkara who, however, failed to offer him a new contract.
