Among the winners of the Westin Malta Football Awards 2005 held last Saturday evening, former Msida player and Hamrun Spartans president Victor Tedesco was honoured with a special award for his long years of service to local football.

Mr Tedesco remains synonymous with the Hamrun Spartans FC for his active role as president in their glory days during the eighties.

Presenting the gala event were John Busuttil and Antonella Vassallo while the various awards were presented by sports journalists.
