Following their two wins against Marsaxlokk (3-2) and Pieta Hotspurs (5-2) in the previous days, Valletta go into today’s final match of the Carlsberg tournament against organisers Hibernians with a three-point lead (kick-off at 8pm).

A draw would also be enough for Valletta to see them outright winners and exclude all hopes of Marsaxlokk, or Hibernians, winning the tournaemnt on better goal difference. Both Hibernians and Marsaxlokk have three points after winning one match and losing another in the previous outings. On Wednesday, Marsaxlokk beat Hibernians 2-0. Pieta are out of contention after losing both games. They will meet Marsaxlokk at 6pm today.
