The first division league continues with more matches between today and tomorrow at the National Pool complex.
Today there will be two matches from the preliminary round where at 7pm, Marsaxlokk face Exiles. This match will be followed at 8pm by the clash between Valletta and San Giljan.
The most important programme is that being played tomorrow. It starts with a first round match at 6pm between Ta’ Xbiex and Otters.
At 7pm, Neptunes face Marsascala, and the Sliema-Sirens clash follows, commencing at 8pm.
These two matches are also valid for the Ghaqda Kittieba Sports Cup and the President’s Cup respectively.
That is if the games end in a draw the points from such a result shall count for the Preliminary Round. However, the games ending in a draw shall continue in extra-time with two sessions of 3 minutes each. If the result after the extra sessions is not decided, the game shall be decided by the Golden Goal.
The proceeds from these games shall be donated to the Community Chest Fund.
The programme offers an opportunity for Marsascala and Sirens to get closer to the leaders. Sliema, in fact, lead the standings on 11 points, followed by Neptunes and Sirens on 10 and Marsascala on 9.
