Peppi Azzopardi, Malta’s popular TV host, last Sunday was the second personality to leave his mark at Bay Street’s recently opened Celebrity Street, in recognition of his indefatigable contribution to the Christmas philanthropic TV marathon known as L-Istrina.

During a brief ceremony Peppi Azzopardi, of Xarabank fame, was invited to leave his handprint in a star-spangled cement slab in typical Hollywood style. Peppi willingly obliged, thanking Bay Street for honouring him in this way. The handprint was immediately placed in the area known as Celebrity Street.

Peppi Azzopardi later joined in the fun as an evening of entertainment followed the ceremony. Visitors were entertained by many of the well-known Xarabank team members and animators who accompanied Peppi on this occasion.

Those present also enjoyed a performance by singer and song-writer, Vince Fabri.

Bay Street’s Handprint of Fame in Celebrity Street was inaugurated earlier this year by popular singer Chiara. In the coming months Bay Street will be inviting more Maltese personalities to leave their mark.
