Everything was ready at mid-day on Monday to welcome Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich together with his family to Malta at MIA but at the last minute Mr Abramovich changed his mind and flew his private plane to Olbia instead, MIA sources said.

He was coming to Malta to start his holiday from here and in fact his personal yacht was already here, but since he changed his mind the yacht is now being taken to Sardinia by its crew.
