San Giljan had to go all the way to beat a determined Ta' Xbiex squad who stayed close to their opponents al the time.

Matthew Zammit with his powerful shots including a penalty played a major role for the Saints.

Peter Paolella who was making his first appearance for Ta' Xbiex scored a brace as Ta' Xbiex won the first seession 2-1.

San Giljan turned the tide in their favour in the second session, and kept the slender lead till the end, with the final two sessions finishing with the same 2-2 scoreline.
