William Chetcuti leaves Malta today on his way to Brazil to take part in next Sunday’s World Cup shooting competition.He will be accompanied by coach Jimmy Bugeja and Federation president Salvu Portelli.

Chetcuti won the Double Trap competition organised by the Malta Shooting Federation durng the weekend.

In the meantime, a Skeet selection competition over 125 clays, with the best six competitors qualifying for the final barage was also held at the Federation’s ranges this weekend.

Darren Vella was the overall winner with 132 clays, followed by Paul Sant (127), Ray Camilleri, Max Fenech and Jason Sciberras (all 119). Silvio Attard wa sixth (116).
