Opposition Foreign Affairs spokesman Leo Brincat has expressed the Malta Labour Party’s condolences on the death of Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd.

Mr Brincat sent the MLP’s condolences to the Saudi Arabian Ambassador in Rome.

He said that apart from doing a lot of good for his country, King Fahd was instrumental in awarding Malta financial aid under earlier MLP governments. Mr Brincat said that the people of Malta would not forget this aid, because it was sent at a time when Malta was still at the beginning of its industrial and economic development.
