Englishman Chris Bart-Williams is the third foreign player recruited by Marsaxlokk for the new season 2005/2006. The announcement was made yesterday on the club’s website.

The 31-year old midfielder, who had playing spells with various English clubs, including Leyton Orient, Sheffield Wednesday, Notts Forest, Charlton Athletic and Ipswich, was recently on the books of Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia, Birkirkara’s opponents in the UEFA Cup this season.

Bart-Williams joins Portuguese defender Nuno Gomes and Brazilian striker Wendell Gomes as Marsaxlokk’s three foreigners, in a bid to build a competitive side alongside many under 21 internationals in their side.
