For this purpose, a national competitive examination will be held in Malta in February 2006, for recruitment in the following occupational groups: Architecture, Demography, Library, Science and Technology, Security and Statistics.

In order to qualify for the examination, one must meet all the following requirements:

1. Be a national of Malta;

2. Be no more than 32 years old as of 31 December 2006 (should be born on 1 January 1974 or after);

3. Have at least a first-level university degree relevant to the occupational group in which one would like to take the examination;

4. Be fluent in either English or French, the two working languages of the Secretariat.
