Marsa Strengthened with six new arrivals

The local website, maltafootball.com has reported that First Division side Marsa FC have been strenthened with the signing of six new players, including Bulgarian defender Nikolai Slavtchev who will therefore return to the club.

Slavtchev was on loan with Hamrun Spartans from Marsaxlokk last season. He had left Marsa in summer 2003.

Another player to return with Marsa is goalkeeper Ivan Casha, whose loan transfer to Birkirkara last month has been cancelled. Brandon Zammit is back with the Red-Blues from Sliema Wanderers.

The other new players are Steve Borda who joins the club from Hibernians, Kevin Cassar from Naxxar Lions and Graham Bencini who spent the last six months with Ghajnsielem.

The team is again under the hands of coach Michael Molzahn, who has been confirmed for another season. Their first outing will be during the pre-season tournament organised by Fgura United at the National Hockey Complex, Corradino.
