Malta Independent Friday, 12 August 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

The BOV Premier League will be again in action this evening at The National Stadium, with Hibernians meeting Pieta and Birkirkara facing Msida St. Joseph.

In the first match starting at 6.30pm, Hibernians will be eager to obtain the first points of the season after their inaugural defeat against champions Sliema.

Hibernians gave a good account of themselves in their opener and should start as favourites against a Pieta side that stunned Floriana in the first match.

In the second match at 8.30pm, championship aspirants Birkirkara will go all out to notch their second consecutive victory. This will be a repeat of last season’s FA Trophy final.

Msida were surprisingly beaten by newcomers Mosta in their opening match, and they will surely find the going hard this evening against the in-form Birkirkara.
