A man was accused yesterday of seriously injuring his two sisters as a result of a traffic accident while in Malta on holiday.
John Anthony Lyttleton, 65, is a Maltese citizen living in the UK, who was in Malta on holiday.
He was involved in a traffic accident on 12 August in Tarxien, after he had allegedly jumped a red light, causing serious injury to his two sisters.
After Mr Lyttleton pleaded not guilty to the charges, presiding magistrate Giovanni Grixti declared his arrest to be invalid. “You are free to go,” he told him, but explained that he will have to appear for every court hearing. Inspector Malcolm Spiteri prosecuted.
