A staggering one million tickets were sold prior to last Wednesday’s draw of the Super 5, Maltco sources told The Malta Independent. The jackpot stood at Lm330,000 but there were no lucky winners.
This week, with a record jackpot of Lm400,000, more people are expected to try their luck at this lottery. The highest ever jackpot prize in the Super 5 lottery game previously was of Lm359,475.
The Super 5 game was launched in January 1990 with 36 numbers and in April 2001 a game with 42 numbers was introduced.
