A motorcycle and a car believed to have been used by thieves in two separate armed robberies on lotto booths on Wednesday were found yesterday by police investigating the hold-ups.

Lm2,600 was stolen in the hold-ups – Lm1,200 from a lotto office in Kalkara and Lm1,400 from a lotto booth in Cospicua.

The motorcycle allegedly used in the Kalkara hold-up was found yesterday evening, also in Kalkara, while a white Toyota Starlet believed to have been used in the Cospicua robbery was found ablaze in a garage complex in Censu Busuttil Street, Fgura.
