The Kingfisher Sport Fishing Association is holding a three day national fishing tournament. on 2, 3 and 4 September at Birgu, Kalkara and Sliema respectively.

The teams will consist of four participants each who will spend 18 hours, rod in hand, aiming to get the largest catch. The winning team will walk away with a trophy as well as 200 euros for each team member. The second and third classifications will also win a trophy each.

The response to the initiatives taken by the Kingfisher Sport Fishing Association has been very encouraging and this tournament has already attracted various fishing aficionados.

The Westin Dragonara Resort is offering a full cooked breakfast for all teams participating on Sunday morning. The Fisherman’s Breakfast will be served on The Strand at 9am.

The Westin is also donating a weekend break in its recently launched Dragonara Luxury Bay Suites for two people with breakfast and full use of facilities. This voucher will be raffled by KSFA, the proceeds of which will be donated to Razzett tal-Hbiberija.
