U/16 League – Section A

This league will be played over two rounds. Teams taking part are Floriana, Paola H, Sliema W, Pieta H, San Gwann, Mellieha, Hamrun S, Tarxien R, Mosta, Birkirkara, Valletta and Melita.

The winner of this section will be declared champion of APS Bank League for season 2005/2006, while the teams finishing in the last three positions will be relegated to Section B for next season.

U/16 League –

Section B

This section will also be played over two rounds and the teams taking part are Zurrieq, Rabat D, Balzan Y, St Patrick, St George’s, Zebbug R, Attard, Qormi, Mgarr U, Luxol SA, Msida and Sta Venera.

The winner of this section will be declared as Section B winner for season 2005/2006 and together with teams finishing in second and third place will be promoted to Section A for next season, while teams who finish in the last three positions will be relegated to Section C for next season.

Under 16 League – Section C

The section will be played over one round as 16 teams are taking part, who are Siggiewi, Sirens, Pembroke A, Marsaxlokk, Ghaxaq, Mqabba, Marsa, Dingli S, Fgura U, Gzira V, Lija-Iklin, Birzebbuga WM, Naxxar L, Gudja U, Kirkop U and Luqa SA. Senglea Ath withdrew from competition only last week.

The winner of this section will be declared Section C winner for season 2005/2006 and together with teams finishing in second and third position will be promoted to Section B for next season.

U/14 League – Section A

Floriana, Valletta, Paola H, Melita, Birkirkara, Mosta, Pieta H, Sliema W, Mellieha, Luxol SA, Sta Venera and Tarxien R are the teams taking part who will play over two rounds.

U/14 League –

Section B

The section will also be played over two rounds and teams taking part are Naxxar L, Rabat D, Mgarr U, St Patrick, Fgura U, Balzan Y, Qormi, Msida SJ, San Gwann, Sirens, Hamrun S and Pembroke Ath. The winner of this section will be declared Section B winner for season 2005/2006 and together with teams in second and third positions will be promoted to Section A for next season. Teams finishing in the last four positions will be relegated to Section C for next season.

U/14 League –

Section C

This section will be played over one round as 18 teams are taking part who are Gzira U, Marsa, Kirkop U, Luqa SA, Dingli S, Marsaxlokk, Siggiewi, St George’s, Mqabba, Senglea Ath, Ghaxaq, Attard, Zebbug R, Zurrieq, Lija-Iklin, Birzebbuga WM, Gudja U and Zejtun.

The winner of this section will be declared Section C winner for season 2005/2006 and together with teams who finish in second, third and fourth positions will be promoted to Section B for next season.

U/16 Knock-Out Competition

As in the previous season, all 41 teams will be taking part and the sponsors are Vodafone.

There will be a preliminary round for 18 teams which are drawn from a common ballot, after which there will be a first phase, a second phase, quarter finals, semi-finals and the final.

During the preliminary round, first and second phase no extra time will be played if a game ends in a draw and penalties will be taken to decide the winner.

Extra time will only be played from the quarter-finals stage onwards and also penalties will be taken if a game ends in a draw after extra time. The duration of the games will be of 40 minutes each way and extra time of 10 minutes each way.

Preliminary round draws

Pieta H vs Senglea Ath (Pieta qualify for first phase as Senglea withdrew from competition); Qormi vs Birkirkara; Birzebbuga vs Sliema W; Melita vs Marsaxlokk; Msida vs Paola H; Valletta vs Mellieha; Hamrun S vs Tarxien R; Marsa vs Luxol SA; Balzan vs Gudja.

U/14 Knock-Out Competition

Vodafone will also sponsor this competition which will be played at the end of the season.

Eight teams will be taking part and these will be the first three teams in Section A, first three teams in Section B and first two teams in Section C and no team is seeded.

The duration of games shall be of 30 minutes each way and extra time of 10 minutes each way if a game ends in a draw after normal time. Penalties will be taken if a game ends in a draw after extra time.

The final will be played during the month of May/June 2006 or when the association deems fit.
