National Coach Bruno Di Pietrantonio has called up the following players for the three games that Malta will be playing soon, starting from next week.
Chris Sammut, Peter Schultz, Omar Said, Adrian Micallef, Marco Mercieca, Dirk Schembri, Addison Bonnici, Etienne Bezzina, Silvio Cassar and Jean Paul Bonnici.
Di Pietrantonio said that although this call-up includes a lot of youngsters, though all players have international experience. Moreover, the “veterans” of the team will help them to continue to gain more experience in the game. “It is a good mixture of young talent and experienced players, and I am confident that we will figure out well”, said the Maltese national coach.
The Maltese national team starts this all away round of games in Dublin today against Ireland. On Wednesday Malta will play in Kovice against Slovakia and on 10 September our players will be in Geneva to play against Switzerland.
