No workers employed with Air Supplies will be losing their job, the General Workers Union said in a statement yesterday.
The decision was announced to the union during a meeting it had with the company, led by chairman Lawrence Zammit.
As part of the restructuring programme, the union said that the 28 workers will be joining a new company being set up, Airport Services Ltd, a subsidiary of Air Malta.
Details of the agreement reached with the company were explained to the workers during a meeting. The collective agreement that expires in 2007 will still stand, the union said.
