This is a highly ambitious family drama about a mysterious cat burglar (Solitaire) who steals high priced exclusive super cars from crime lords and drug dealers and uses the money to supplement the ailing Dar Jacob, a children’s hospital catering mostly for children with special needs.
The story takes us into the lives of Dr Vincent Christie and Valerie Demajo who spearhead a struggling hospital for children along with their staff and nine resident patients, who suffer from various conditions ranging from autism to cancer. Valerie secretly even uses the hospital as a shelter for abused and victimised children.
Their lives take a dramatic turn when their benefactor suddenly dies and they face eviction from his greedy landlord son.
On the brink of bankruptcy and eviction, money starts to mysteriously find its way
literally on the doorstep of Dar Jacob.
The series is jam-packed with moments of high tension, spectacular chases with
beautiful cars, daring stunts and a storyline that keeps you guessing about what will
happen. This is a drama featuring rich, three-dimensional characters that are both funny and upbeat to counteract the serious nature of their predicament.
Written and directed by Mark Doneo, this is a co-production of American Imports and ONE Productions Ltd.
Solitaire will be broadcast on Thursday evenings at 8.45pm, beginning on 29 September, on Super One TV.
