Division II KO: Exiles, M’Xlokk Advance

Exiles made it to the semi-finals of the competition where they have to face a tough test against neW-champions San Giljan.

The Sliema side took the upper hand as from the second session after Valletta managed to end the first session on equal terms, 2-2.

Led by hat-trick boys Joe Cremona and Jason Vella, the greens started displaying better qualities and gradually opened a safe lead, even though having Martin Calleja sent off during the third session.

Marsaxlokk continued on their late seasonal positive patch when they managed to beat Ta’ Xbiex after a long game decided finally with the golden goal.

In fact the regular match ended

6-6 and the score remained unchanged after two sessions of extra time. Thus play resumed and Alan Farrugia scored the winner in the third session.

Ta’ Xbiex had made a great comeback in the final session as they managed to equalise with two goals in half a minute of play through Duncan Schembri and Stephen Balzan.
