Malta’s Amateur team to take part in Regions’ Cup

The MFA Council approved the Malta Amateur team’s participation in the next edition of the Regions Cup.

UEFA has sent a Code of Ethics to all Federations. This was read by Dr Mifsud who said that a copy will be sent to Member Clubs and Member Associations.

As from 31st October 2005 all MFA circulars will be sent to Member Clubs and Associations by email.

A sub-committee made up of MFA Council Members has been set up to study plans for improved football facilities on a national scale.

Referee Adrian Casha, Fourth Official, Alan Mario Sant and Assistant Referees Ingmar Spiteri and Alan Debattista were given very good ratings when in charge of the recent U/21 international match between Poland and Austria.

UEFA Mini-Pitches Project: A total of 35 mini-pitches under the UEFA Scheme will be allocated to Club Nurseries and Local Councils. It is hoped that all formalities will be finalised soon.

Details were given by Vice President Mr John Farrugia of symbolic ceremonies to be held on the occasion of Fair Play weekend on the 24th and 25th September and on the Anti-Racism Campaign organised by FIFA.

(Non Government Organisations) and their legal standing are to be looked into during the talks being held between the MFA and the KMS (Kunsill Malti Ghall-Isport). The main theme will be on the positive effect of this law. The discussions will centre on how these laws could be reconciled for the benefit of football.

The Malta v England Veterans football match organised by an association of ex-British servicemen which was due to be played later on in September, was cancelled due to the event sponsors' failure to honour their agreement.
