Malta Independent Thursday, 22 September 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The MFA TV weekly programme MFA Magazine, launched early in October last year, will resume on Wednesday 28 September on Smash Television.

The programme, again presented by Rodney Vassallo, will this time be of 90 minutes duration. It will be transmitted live every Wednesday at 6.30pm, with a repetition on Thursday at 10pm. Like in the previous schedule, there will be different guests in the 40-week long series which is due to come to an end in the last week of June 2006.

This weekly programme is geared towards providing televiewers with an informative background of the administrative, organisational and technical role of the Maltese Association, including that in the coaching and refereeing sectors. The programme also helps to further promote the game in Malta through previews and reviews of the domestic matches at club level and those of the Maltese national teams in the different categories.

An insight of the association’s involvement in running the game in Malta, analysis of its policies and decisions, focus on member clubs and member associations, discussions on various topics of interest, competitions, phone-ins, SMS’s and innovative slots will feature throughout the nine-month programme cyle.

While being a vehicle of information ‘MFA Magazine’ will seek to educate the Maltese football followers, even through constructive criticism. At the same time the programme is also tailored to counter-balance any misinformation or inaccurate facts regarding the work of the association which may, inadvertently or not, come out in other sections of the media.
