Bulgarian Atanas Marinov yesterday tendered his resignation as coach of Premier League side Marsaxlokk.

The move followed some discussions with the committee of the club yesterday.

Last week, the southern seasiders had appointed Ray ‘Zazu’ Farrugia as their technical director.

Yesterday a club committee member confirmed Farrugia in that post and added that a new coach was expected to be appointed in the next few hours.

Marinov had been appointed coach of Marsaxlokk last year.
