SibtsportSajf; a summer school organised by Depiro Basketball Club came to an end recently. The summer school that has been founded five years ago is aimed at providing a variety of sports experiences for students aged 3 to 12 years.

However, this year SibtsportSajf embarked in a new set-up and together with the teaching of various sporting activities it also included the teaching of Drama and Arts and Craft classes with the aim of tapping and stimulating the children's creative and aesthetic domains.

On the last day of school, the parents were invited for a manifestation which was presented by the children themselves. A number of dance sequences, under the choreography of Ms. Rachel Camilleri and Ms.Dorothy Bezzina were displayed by the children. Props and costumes were created by Ms. Denise Mifsud.

After the manifestation, Mr. C.Bonnici, Administrator of Depiro Basketball Club and Mr.J. Falzon, director of SibtSportSajf addressed the parents and highlighted the following points; the importance of sport and recreation as a predominant factor on children's physical and mental development. At the end of the ceremony all students were awarded a certificate of participation.
