Two of the world’s top Double Trap shooters will be in Malta for a training camp between 12 and 17 October. Their visit is being organised by the Malta Shooting Federation at their Bidnija ranges.
The shooters are Mikko Makitolo of Finland who is ranked fifth by the ISSF and Hakan Dahiby, who is ranked No. 7. They will be joining Malta’s William Chetcuti, ranked No. 2 in the ISSF rankings and other local double trap shooters for the camp and a competition on Sunday 16 October which will start at 10am.
The three shooters will compete together with the other world’s top nine athletes in the 2005 World Cup final in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 24 November.
The Malta Shooting Federation is inviting local shooting enthusiasts to go to Bidnija and watch these top shooters in action, both during the training camp and also during the competition.
Presently, a group of British shooters from Merseyside and Lancashire are in Malta enjoying the Bidnija Layouts. This weekend, they will be joining local trap shooters in a competition.
