Fiorentina striker Valeri Boijinov is hoping to be included in the Bulgaria side facing Malta tomorrow at Ta’ Qali.

The young Bulgarian star had started his career in Malta with Pieta Hotspurs and is now looking forward to play at such level, though for his country.

He arrived in Malta yesterday with the Bulgarian contingent and this morning will be visiting the Pieta club, which had launched him into the game.

Boijinov said they had come here to win, even though they were aware of the progress of the Maltese, especially after the 1-1 draw last month against Croatia.

Boijinov had started his Serie A career at Lecce. In January of last year he moved to Fiorentina.
