Tennis Club Kordin celebrated ‘Vitoria’s Day with a night doubles tournament. This was done with the help of G&E Brothers of 15, Cachia Zammit Street B’Bugia, who sponsored the occasion. Twenty ladies and 20 men participated in the two respective groups.

Both groups were sub-divided in two sections of five teams each, who played each other on a Round Robin basis. The winners of each section of both the Men’s and the Ladies’ groups played the runners-up of the other section in the semi-finals with the winners facing each other in the final.

Anna Fava and Audrey Friggieri won the ladies event. In the final, they beat Anna Buhagiar and Rosette Tufigno.

In the men’s event, it was Hacon Zammit and Joseph Vella who triumphed. In the final, they defeated Suniel Balani and Edmond Friggieri.

Marco Ricci and Horace Portelli took care of the tournament organisation.
