The coaching force at the Table Tennis Academy has been strengthened as from this month with the addition of Swedish coach Erik Nordlander (picture) who will be staying in Malta for the coming six months.

Erik boasts a lot of achievements in his career. It all started at the age of 15 when he qualified to be rated as a Class One player in Sweden. At 17 years of age, Erik placed ninth in the Swedish Junior Championships. In 2001 and 2002 he placed third and fourth place respectively in the East Sweden Junior Championships. Since then Erik has obtained over 25 victories in various competitions held in Sweden.

Erik has obtained qualifications as a coach under the guidance of top Swedish coaches such as Kjell Ake Waldner and for three seasons he was personal the coach for three of among the top 20 best junior players in Sweden.

Considering his vast technical experience, coaching qualifications and excellent results in the Swedish championships, it is certain that Erik will be giving a top-quality contribution to the coaching sessions at the Table Tennis Academy.
