The national promotional campaign in connection with Commonwealth Heads of Government in November, also known as CHOGM, is gathering momentum.
Over the weekend, promotional banners were put up on the major traffic thoroughfares along Malta. These banners have been provided by Bank of Valletta, the CHOGM official bank.
Over the coming days, a total of 1,500 banners will be displayed with different messages related to CHOGM 2005.
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings (CHOGM) will be held in Malta, between 25 and 27 November. The theme, for this year’s meeting, which will be hosted by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, is Networking the Commonwealth for Development. This theme is featuring on all the promotional banners that are being displayed on Malta’s roads.
The 1,500 banners display short messages defining what the Commonwealth and CHOGM stand for and promote key facts and figures about CHOGM including the fact that this high profile international event that will bring together representatives of 1.8 billion people from five continents and 53 countries.
Other banners that will be set up will have welcome messages to greet the foreign
delegates and visitors who will be arriving in Malta.
