Ascent Software Wins prestigious Irish contract

Malta Independent Sunday, 30 October 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Maltese software house Ascent Software Limited recently won a contract for the development of a software suite from Practical Finance (PF), the Irish money lending and HP services provider. PF is one of Ireland’s leading money lending organisations and is based in Galway. The contract covers the development of a full suite of programmes that will fully automate all PF’s business processes.

“Ascent’s bid was very competitive and it is evident that the company has the required in-house skills to meet our requirements.

“Malta offers a viable IT outsourcing alternative to India or Eastern Europe, particularly for small to medium sized organisations such as Practical Finance.

“We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship between our two companies,” said Practical Finance managing director Brendan Keogh.

Ascent Software launched an intensive marketing campaign of its products and services in Ireland through the offices of Emerson French Consulting which is one of its business development agents. Ascent Software also won software development contracts from companies in Ireland, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

The company’s website is www.ascent.com.mt
