Top International Basketball Federation (FIBA) officials will be attending a meeting of the association’s Board being held in Malta this weekend at the Radisson SAS Bay-point resort.

The main item on the agenda will be the preparations for the election of the FIBA executive committee which will be held in May of next year. The meeting will mainly focus on an electoral plan which will eventually be used during the election.

The officials coming over to Malta Malta meeting include the General Secretary, FIBA world, Patrick Baumann, the President FIBA Europe, George Vassilakopolous, the General Secretary FIBA Europe, Nar Zannolin and the General Secretary Emeritus, Borislav Stankovic

The MBA will be represented by its President, Magistrate Antonio Mizzi who is a member on the FIBA board and member of the FIBA legal commission. Also the MBA President is the President of the Appeals board of FIBA Europe and FIBA world.
