The annual Mixed Doubles tournament which will be held at TCK between 19.January and 5.March 2006 will this year be sponsored by Attard Tipped Tools of Triq Is-Sebh, Qormi, suppliers of furniture fittings, tools and timber. The club’s council thanked the directors of this firm for their support.

The organising committee invites all playing members to participate in this event. Applications are received ‘On-Line’ through the club’s website www.tennisclubkordin.com by not later than 19 December.

Applicants will be placed in a number of groups, depending on their level of play. Teams in each group will play a Round Robin between them. The tournament shall be played on a best of three sets. Tie-break will be played in all sets when the score is six (6) games all.

Matches will be played on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. A ‘walk-over’ will be given after 15 minutes grace from the original starting-time provided the allocated court is available.

Where teams finish with equal points the winner of the direct- encounter will be declared the winner of the group. In the event that the situation remains one of equality the difference between games won and lost, shall be taken into consideration.

Tennis balls, acceptable to the opponents, must be provided by the players shown on the left-hand side of the fixtures.
